Stay the Night in a Transparent Bubble Cabin in Northern Ireland

Ever stared longingly into a snow globe? This concerns you.

You’re booking a few nights in a bubble in Northern Ireland.

Hear us out.

Finn Lough, a stay-the-weekend playground in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, with a marina, watersports, cycling routes and a spa, has teamed up with Dome Experience to erect a colony of private, wooded, 180-degree “bubble domes” that allow visitors to lean back and count their (literal) lucky stars in the heart of the Emerald Isle.

Does it look a bit like a distant cousin to Matt Damon’s indoor potato-garden Hab in The Martian? Yes. But it’s packed with a Nespresso machine, heated floors/mattress, adjoining bubble with rain shower and (blissfully) no wifi or Netflix.

Forget the phone and bring a special someone. There’s apparently enough privacy betwixt you and the next bubble to do whatever you’d do if the walls weren’t transparent. If not, well … it’s Ireland. It’ll probably be raining.
