Anyway, you now have the chance to test out avian living at the ORIGIN Tree House, a getaway in Northern France that rests amog the branches of a 100-year-old oak tree. Modeled after a bird nest by Parisian desig firm Atelier LAVIT, the eight-sided structure is accessible via a 100-foot-long suspended walkway. Visitors also have access to a spa and relaxation area nearby.

Some of the meaning may have been garbled in translation, but here’s what Atelier LAVIT says about the project: “The design of the cabin, coupled with the construction techniques, led to a rationalization of the assembly logic of the branches collected by the birds to create their impregnable shelters.”
