In his 2020 debut for his Louisiana high school, Arch Manning, the nephew of Eli and Peyton Manning and the grandson of Archie Manning, threw for five touchdowns and rushed for another one.

In Isidore Newman’s 41-0 win over Metairie East Jefferson, Manning completed 13-of-17 passes for 260 yards before being pulled after three quarters in the blowout victory, according to 24/7 Sports.

Arch is the son of Cooper Manning, the oldest of the three Manning brothers. Unlike his brothers, Cooper played wide receiver but was forced to quit football due to a rare spinal condition.

Manning, who 24/7 Sports has ranked as the No. 1 QB in the 2023 class, finished his freshman season as the starting varsity quarterback at Newman with 2,438 passing yards, 34 touchdowns and just six interceptions.

The school finished 9-1 in Manning’s first season as a starter. During their respective freshman years at Newman, Eli and Peyton both played on the junior varsity, so their nephew is already ahead of the game, so to speak.

“He’s probably a little ahead of them as a freshman,” Archie told the Indianapolis Star in 2019 after his grandson won the starting job. “We did the Friday night thing for years and years. We did Saturday and we’ve done Sunday, and it looked like we were about through with that, and here we are on Friday nights again.”
