Watch Victoria Justice’s Sultry Cover of Billy Paul’s “Everybody’s Breaking Up”

The video was released in conjunction with Justice’s new art-world drama “Trust”

Actress and musician Victoria Justice has spent the last few years focusing on her acting. However, as a recent interview with Justice at InsideHook noted, she has recently returned to making music after a seven-year break. “It’s good to be creative again, to be sharing music with the world again and to be doing it on my own terms,” she said in an interview with Billboard earlier this month.

One of her recent forays into music comes in tandem with her work on screen. Justice’s cover of Philly soul mainstay Billy Paul’s 1978 single “Everybody’s Breaking Up” comes from the soundtrack to Brian DeCubellis’s film Trust (streaming here), in which she stars. It’s a warm arrangement of the song that hearkens back to the lush sound of the original version.
