"I know you're joking, but it actually is quite sexy."

Watch Bernie Sanders “Slow Jam the News” and Shoot Free Throws on “Fallon”

Bernie Sanders paid a visit to The Tonight Show last night (Nov. 26), and he gamely lent Jimmy Fallon a hand with his “Slow Jam the News” segment, touting the sexiness of Medicare for All and channeling Lizzo to declare that he’s “feelin’ good as hell” after his heart attack last month.

The senator was a good sport for the bit, though Fallon did most of the actual slow-jamming, referring to Sanders as “woke Doc Brown” and responding to the candidate’s declaration that “we can no longer tolerate three people hoarding more wealth than the bottom half of America. I have the experience to fight for that bottom half and to create an economy that works for all of us, not just those on top” with “awww yeah, Bernie Sanders is looking out for your bottom half.”

“Fifty years of service giving people the power,” The Roots’ Black Thought sang. “He’s heard it all except the words ‘please talk louder.’”

Sanders also sat for an interview with Fallon and discussed his heart attack and his recent endorsement from Ariana Grande, and the pair shot some free throws while Fallon asked him whether or not he thinks he’s got a real shot at winning the Democratic nomination. You can watch both segments below.
