In an exclusive and brief post for the Daily Beast, actor George Clooney published what he calls a “prayer for our country” — and suggests he’s with the NFL players who took a knee over the weekend before or during the national anthem in widespread protests against racism and police brutality.
“I pray that young children like Tamir Rice can feel safe in their own neighborhood,” Clooney writes in part. “I pray for a more perfect union. And when I pray, I kneel.”
