Hal Blaine, a member of the Wrecking Crew, a group of musicians, has died. He was 90.
The famed drummer’s family confirmed his passing in a Facebook post.
Throughout his long, full career Blaine played the drums on classic tunes like “Be My Baby” by the Ronettes, Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys as well as “Good Vibrations.” He also lent his drumming expertise to Simon and Garfunkel’s “Mrs. Robinson,” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
Blaine was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy last year.
