Comerica Park Fires Employee for Allegedly Spitting into Food

Disturbing video from Tigers game went viral after another employee posted in on Instagram.

An employee at Comerica Park was fired over a viral video that allegedly showed him spitting into a pizza.

The disturbing video was shared on Instagram by another Comerica Park employee, who said in the post that his employer threatened his job for posting the video. The Detroit Tigers have reportedly confirmed that the footage of the incident was shot on Friday.

Detroit Sportservice, the food vendor at Comerica, published a statement announcing that the food stand “immediately closed… and disposed of all the product.” The statement went on to say that food safety “is our top priority and we will take any appropriate action necessary to protect our guests.”
