Ashley Judd is not among the $44 million settlement with disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein over his alleged sexual misconduct, reports CNN. The 51-year-old actress who broke through in the 1993 film Ruby in Paradise will have her day in court.
Judd was among the first women to come forward with claims of Weinstein’s sexual assault. In 2018, she sued him for defamation, and accused him of ruining her career after she nixed his sexual advances in the 1990s. More than 80 women since then have accused the fallen movie mogul of misdeeds ranging from harassment to rape, according to CNN.
Judd’s clarification that she hasn’t settled came by social media a day after the announcement of the settlement on Thursday. “My lawsuit is ongoing and I intend to take” him to trial, she tweeted Friday.
