SF Design Week: just like Fashion Week, but with more places to sit.
And just as many parties.
It kicks off tomorrow (tickets to any and all events here), with a host of open studios, cocktails, workshops and talks.
We’re going to everything. Everything! You should join us.
Marching orders are as follows:
Start at tomorrow’s opening night party — opt for the VIP ticket, which includes a panel discussion with Airbnb’s “Environments Designers.”
Next up: Monday afternoon’s Instagram-enriching “artful plating” workshop with chefs Bill Corbett of Absinthe and Evan Rich of Rich Table.
From there, we’ll head to Happy hour with Oru Kayak, the best-looking collapsible boats on the Bay and beyond.
Thursday you’ll find us at The Italian Cultural Institute’s show, which will pair poems by S.F. icon Lawrence Ferlinghetti with images by Armando Milani.
No time for parties? Just want to shop the Bay’s best designers? Check out:
- The Adler Table from Mission-based Ohio Design
- The Bradley Bench from woodworker Katie Gong
- J. Rusten’s Modern Rocking Chair — and add the limited-edition California table
Why bother with Design Week when SF Fashion Week is just three months away?
We’d rather take home an armoire than a fashion model.
It’ll last longer.
