The thing about speed in 2016 is that it takes a whole lot of innovation to yield even minor advancements.
Enter the just revealed Flying Spur W12 S, the first Bentley four-door built to break the 200 MPH barrier. It tops out at 202 MPH.
The W12 S model is charged with 626 hp and 605 lb-ft of torque, compared with the 616 hp and 590 lb-ft torque of its predecessor, the V8 S. And it’ll hit 60 in just 4.2 seconds, a slight bump up from that model’s 4.3.
Is this the iPhone 6S to the iPhone 6? Maybe. But at least it’s not the 7.
It also equips a sportier suspension package, better traction and available carbon-ceramic brakes in black or red calipers. Additional tweaks include black exterior accents, custom 21-inch wheels, dark-tinted lights and unique badging.
The W12 S is debuting at the end of this month at the Paris Motor Show, with deliveries beginning at the end of the year.
And sure, it’s not exactly blowing the doors off the OG W12. It’s more kinda pushing them off. But it’s about bragging rights, and hey, what isn’t?
