Watch This Mexican Navy Warship Sink From the Inside Out

You’ve probably seen Titanic by this point. And unless you grew up on a desert island, you know how it ends: The ship fills with water, and down she goes. And while James Cameron‘s hefty helping of movie magic made every viewer feel like they were onboard, at least for a little while, there’s nothing more eerie than watching a real ship sink from the inside out.

That’s what you get to watch with the Uribe 121, a former Mexican Navy warship, which was sunk about a mile off the coast of Rosarito, Mexico, to create an artificial reef. The ship was rigged with eight cameras, so you won’t miss a single, spine-tingling beat. Observe it go down in the video below.
