This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Tribeca Film Festival, and to help kick things off Persol has released a limited-edition pair of their iconic 649 style in a smoky grey colorway. The collaboration arrives in celebration of Persol co-hosting the Tribeca Festival Awards Ceremony on June 17, where the brand will present the award for Best Actor in a U.S. Narrative Feature.
While shades and films might seem like two totally disparate categories, Persol sunglasses are no stranger to the big screen or movie stars, appearing in The Talented Mr. Ripley, Call Me By Your Name and James Bond: Spectre, among countless others, and finding favor among the likes of Steve McQueen, Ryan Gosling, Leonardo DiCaprio and more.
