In the high-stakes world of cliff diving, the sport’s danger is often forgotten until something actually goes wrong. Divers hit the water at around 60 miles per hour: pushing off a platform too hard or holding one’s tuck a millisecond too long could result in serious injury or even death. Vice Sports caught up with American divers on the Red Bull Cliff Diving Tour in Polignano a Mare, Italy, to explore what motivates them.
