Come on now with this. We can hardly take ourselves seriously going over these specs with this little punk looking at us.

Because eco-hippie or not, the new VW Microbus — the company’s second electric make following the upcoming hatchback — is comin’ down the pipeline to win you over. And somehow it will manage to seat seven passengers. It will also come packing the latest and greatest autonomous driving elements and connected systems revealed last January.

Powering the Microbus will be the same 163hp electric motor you’ll find in the aforementioned hatchback. And while nothing is confirmed yet, Volkswagen plans to outfit the bus with a pack that would run up to approximately 310 miles on a single charge.

Additional features set for inclusion on the new Microbus include high-definition instrument and infotainment displays together with head-up display technology, all of which are being developed for inclusion on VW’s upcoming EV lineup.

We’ll have to dig out our Birkenstocks in anticipation.
