Sarah Palin’s defamation lawsuit against the New York Times was thrown out on Tuesday by a Manhattan judge, the Daily Beast is reporting.

The former Alaska governor sued the Paper of Record after they published an editorial tying the 2011 shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords to an anti-gun ad produced by her political action committee.

The Times has since issued a correction, stating that “no such link” had been established between the ad and the shooting. The judge reportedly ruled that Palin could not factually prove the Times’ mistake was “malicious.”
