Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of them. Today: Fresh new sneakers, a timepiece for Yankees fans and sexy furniture for your sexy bum.

Uniqlo AIRism Face Mask

Originally released in Japan in June (and selling out within minutes), there was much fanfare surrounding these elusive masks that drew crowds of people hoping to purchase. Their popularity in large part comes from their ability to solve one of the nuisances caused by masks: breathability. The mask is crafted from three layers, the first being the brand’s breathable AIRism Mesh, the second capable of cutting up to 99% of particles such as bacteria and pollen, while the third layer is also made of AIRism Mesh for even more breathability.

Outerknown Hightide Crew

Sweatshirt season is almost upon us, and there’s no better way to prepare than with Outerknown’s new Hightide sweats. Available in a crewneck, pullover hoodie and sweatpants, the Hightide fabric is cut from terry toweling for increased softness and comfort. The terry fabric also means the collection of sweats and sweatshirts are the ideal transition piece, perfect for those days and nights when there’s a slight chill in the air but a normal fleece sweatshirt could mean the possibility of overheating.

OddFellows x The Bodega Boys: The Bodega Capsule

Desus Nice and The Kid Mero — aka The Bodega Boys, aka the hosts of popular late-night Showtime show Desus and Mero — and Brooklyn-based ice cream shop OddFellows have teamed up to celebrate all the great things about New York City, but specifically your local bodega. The Bodega Capsule includes flavors like Baconeggncheese, Sweet Tea & Lemonade and Chico Stix. A portion of sales will also be donated to The Legal Aid Society, a NYC non-profit that helps provide people with representation on criminal and civil matters.

Todd Snyder Liberty Camp Collar Long Sleeve Shirt in Feather Print

Just because summer is coming to a close and you may be packing away all your bright, fun patterned short-sleeve button-downs in exchange for plaid, plaid and more plaid, it doesn’t mean you can’t still sport some equally eye-catching long-sleeve button-downs next season. And Todd Snyder’s best-selling Camp Collar long-sleeve, now in a new unique feather pattern, is the perfect way to do just that.

Limited-Edition Panerai Submersible Azzurro Watch

Dive watches and the color blue have always made an obvious pairing, but for some reason or other, ocean-tinted divers have become the trend of summer 2020, with notable releases from Tudor, Martenero, Seiko and others. Now, Panerai is getting into the mix with a new limited-edition 42mm model in their Submersible line, pairing a blue ceramic bezel with a black dial along with their hallmark crown-protecting bridge. As Hodinkee notes, the 500 available pieces won’t go on sale until September, but Panerai is taking pre-order requests now.

Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700

Bose’s critically acclaimed noise-canceling headphones are now available in a sultry Triple Midnight blue. But no worries, the headphones still deliver Bose’s unparalleled sound while keeping the outside world fully #blocked out.

Burrow Velvet Seating

DTC furniture brand Burrow just decked out its iconic Nomad collection in one of the sexiest fabrics known to man: velvet. But not just any velvet, performance velvet. This unique material has all the chicness and comfiness of ordinary velvet, with the ability to handle all the greasy, messy takeout food you’re shoveling into your mouth while you sit and binge Netflix for hours. The upholstery is available on a range of sofas, armchairs, sectionals, loveseats and ottomans, which feature Burrow’s simple design set-up, built-in USB chargers and an included velvet brush to keep your pieces looking clean and sexy.

The Away Pet Carrier

Shouldn’t your furry friend get to sport some grade-A, stylish looking luggage too? Well, Away seems to think so. The luggage brand now sells an airline approved pet carrier that features water-resistant lining, multiple pockets and even a sherpa-lined interior for the ultimate high-maintenance traveler.

The North Face x Brain Dead Fall 2020 Collection

Brain Dead and The North Face have come together again to bless us with yet another collaboration. For the Fall 2020 collection, the brands gleaned inspiration from the construction of The North Face’s 1976 Mountain Parka and the oversized silhouette of the 1968 Sierra Parka. The resulting collection consists of everything from parkas reminiscent of the ‘76 and ‘68 versions, colorblocked fleeces and even chore jackets. The pieces are far from subtle, featuring Brain Dead’s logo and patches adorning sleeves, all in vibrant shades of red, green and orange. But that’s what makes it so fun — and worth buying.

AO x Tracksmith — The Charles

Eyewear brand Article One and Tracksmith have built a technical sunglass frame designed for running. “The Charles” is made with a super lightweight, hypoallergenic TR90 polymer plastic made to hold its shape after it contours to your face and features tonal silicone nose pads for grip with a wire core skeleton to make sure those babies stay on.

The Wooster Oxford

For their latest shoe, Greats has taken one of their classic silhouettes, the Wooster, and reimagined it to present the Wooster Ox, or “The Ox.” Forgoing the slip-on functionality of the original, the new Woosters more closely resemble an oxford (hence its name) with waxed cotton laces and a two-tone upper.

Marlin Automatic – New York Yankees

We’ve long extolled the virtues of the Timex Marlin as one of the most tasteful, classically designed affordable watches on the market. Here, the Marlin is done up with a New York Yankees logo at the 6 o’clock marker, which is not really something we can fully endorse — at least not those of us who root for the New York baseball team that doesn’t enforce outrageously weird and retrograde rules about what kind of facial hair its players are permitted to wear. But if that’s your thing, by all means, have at it.

Noah x Adidas

For this collab, Noah and adidas are focused on our great deep blue seas, specifically, keeping plastic out of them. The collection includes two footwear silhouettes — the Noah x adidas SL72 and SL20 — along with a range of matching apparel from sweatshirts to socks, shorts and more. Most of the apparel features a seashell graphic meant to symbolize the declining Long Island shellfishing industry that’s been plagued by pollution. The line is nautical, functional and totally stylish, but more importantly, it’s crafted with Prime Blue — a knitted material developed by adidas that utilizes recycled ocean plastics.

Hot Ones Truth or Dab The Game

There’s a very good chance you’ve seen an episode or two or a hundred of First We Feast’s widely popular show Hot Ones, where celebrities chow down on insanely spicy hot wings while answering host Sean Evans’s thoroughly researched questions. And now it’s your turn to take the hot seat, with First We Feast’s newly-released party game, which includes 250 deeply personable and awkward questions and the show’s infamous Last Dab hot sauce that boasts a 10/10 heat level and a 2,000,000 scoville rating.
