When trying to sell you any one of the super slim TVs out there, people will say they’re plug-and-play. What they don’t tell you is — due to the thin profile — the sound is trash. That’s why everyone you know owns or is in the market for a soundbar.

You know Harman Kardon for being a top name in audio, incorporated in everything from tricked out SUVs to AI headphones. They aren’t as ubiquitous as newer, hipper companies like Sonos, but their home audio is just as good, and right now their HK SB20 soundbar is on sale for 60% off.

Is a two-piece soundbar an oxymoron? Maybe. That doesn’t make the SB20 any less of a steal. (Harman Kardon)

The main differentiating factor between this and other soundbars is the added wireless subwoofer. It’s a little bit oxymoronic, adding another element to an audio device that’s supposed to be one piece and relatively hidden. On the other hand, if you’ve been wanting to pick up a soundbar but have been worried it won’t offer the surround-sound you’re looking for, this is your best bet.

Other elements of the SB20 include Harman Volume, a proprietary feature that smooths out sudden audio changes like louder commercials so you don’t have to keep turning the volume up and down, as well as the ability to connect it via traditional Bluetooth, HDMI or optical cable.
