The Velocity Grill don't need no stinkin' matches

We love gas grills. We love charcoal grills.

And now, we might just have a soft spot for electric grills (sorta’).

Because when portability is the name of the game, grills that can be fired up with the push of a button can be a more viable way to go, which is one of the many reasons the Velocity Grill could be a gamechanger.

A wood-fired grill that works with batteries, solar power or battery packs (as well as traditional outlets), the Velocity Grill’s first major selling point is you can bring it almost anywhere. The second, and perhaps more impressive, is how the combination of its built-in fan and heat diffuser plate can get things cooking evenly and quickly.

Resistant to wind and as easy to control as a gas grill, the 17-pound Velocity Grill eases many of the pain points of traditional cookers. Successfully funded on Kickstarter and Indiegogo, the Velocity has made it to Amazon for $160. Check out the video below for a full inspection.
