‘Unidentified Floating Object’ Coming to a Marina Near You

We're ready for abduction

We’ve always been skeptical of the existence of UFOs.

This thing might just make us believers, however.

Created by Naples-based design firm Jet Capsule, the UFO 2.0 is 3,380 square feet of floating fiberglass fun spread across three circular levels connected by a central shell in the middle. Featuring a pair of 80 HP electric engines that give the floating structure a max speed of nine knots, the UFO 2.0 features a terrace, kitchen and bedroom with a seabed view.

In addition to utilizing solar panels, the concept — which is an improved version of the company’s first UFO project — uses wind and water turbines to juice up its 16 batteries. It can theoretically travel the universe (or at least the aquatic one) for an infinite amount of time.

Meant to be used as a floating spa, restaurant or the coolest Airbnb on the planet, Jet Capsule plans to launch the UFO 2.0 on Kickstarter in the next few weeks, and supporters will have the chance to make a reservation to stay in the prototype once it’s complete.

Unfortunately, the campaign hasn’t launched yet, so you’ll have to rely on this video until it does:
