There are a lot of cool, crowdfunded projects out there on the Internet (kudos to you, adult-sized big wheel trike High Roller), but who has time to track a bunch of stuff that may never see the light of day?
One guy does, and, thankfully, he’s put that obsession to good use via Outgrow.me.
Started, charmingly enough, by a dude with zero coding experience but a fervent belief in the little guy, Outgrow.me collects all the successfully crowdfunded projects from Kickstarter and Indiegogo into one simple and easily navigable site.
You can sort the projects a number of ways, via categories (e.g. bicycling, food, “everything but Apple”), price point, and status (orderable vs. pre-orderable). Each item comes back with a photo, brief description, price, the original KS/IG pitch video and link to the product’s order page.
These aren’t pie-in-the-sky ideas that may or may not show up three years from now — every one of the products is either available immediately or for near-future pre-order. Including:
- A “soundless” Bluetooth speaker that broadcasts info from your smartphone info via light patterns
- A fashion adhesive that doubles as a collar stay, pocket square fastener and tie clip
- Atheist shoes, so atheists can “have soles too”
Because in the end, it’s all about the power of belief.
