Rams Player Surprises Team Janitor With Super Bowl LIII Tickets

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Brandin Cooks knows that football is a team sport.

That’s why he decided to extend a pair of tickets to Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta this Sunday to the team’s custodian, identified only as Alfonso for privacy reasons. Cooks said he wanted to thank the man for all he does for the team every day, CBS Sports reported.

“I just thought it would be special for him to understand this is a team and he’s a part of that as well,” Cooks said. And he didn’t stop there.

“And I wanted to make sure he is at the Super Bowl with his son to enjoy it. … I am flying him in, he’s got a hotel, he’s going to be set for the whole weekend.”

As Cooks and his team prepare to take on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, the wideout is coming off of his fourth-straight 1,000-yard season with his third team. But it appears as if Cooks has found his NFL home after signing a five-year, $81 million contract prior to this season. This is his second straight trip to the Championship game after playing with the Rams’ opponent on Sunday — the Patriots — last year.
