A man pretending to be Tom Brady’s agent may have catfished the Boston Herald, according to Sports Illustrated. The Herald has taken down the story, which reported that Brady would hold out next season unless the Patriots match his annual salary with the one doled out to his former backup Jimmy Garoppolo by the 49ers. Ron Borges, the Herald reporter who wrote the story, said he had a text exchange with a man he thought was Don Yee, Brady’s agent. The Herald’s sports editor, Sam Leahy, said “we’re looking into it,” when asked for comment by Pro Football Talk.
