The past several months of Jemele Hill’s career couldn’t have possibly been predicted, and the ESPN anchor discussed her surreal back-and-forth with Trump on a recent Sports Illustrated Media Podcast. Hill stood by her past statements calling Trump a white supremacist, but said that she now thinks Twitter is not the best place for communicating beliefs. “I don’t regret what I said or even the language that I used. It’s just the where. I think the where is problematic,” Hill said on the podcast. She also discussed receiving support out of nowhere from a stranger: Kevin Durant. Though the two do not know each other, Hill said Durant sent her a direct message during the Trump saga saying he admired her actions.
