To No Man’s Fort, a 134-year old sea fort turned luxury isle/hotel, now available for rent.
No Man’s is the latest project by AmaZing Venues, a U.K. outfit that rescues historic venues with “bags of character” (forts, monasteries, castles, etc.) and turns them into luxury villas.
Located a mile off the coast of the Isle of Wight, No Man’s began life as a four-story, 75,000-square-foot concrete bunker used to ward off Napoleon’s navy.
The French long since rebuffed, the site’s been transformed into one seriously jaw-dropping pied-à-terre.
Only accessible by boat or helicopter, NMF features 22 gigantic suites and one lighthouse apartment, complete with stunning views of the surrounding English channel.
It holds 44 people as a hotel, and up to 200 if you’re planning a special event (like, say, a wedding).
No Man’s offers a variety of water activities (jet biking, kayaking, kite surfing) and on-isle amenities, including a rooftop hot tub, saunas, nightclub, indoor laser tag, cabaret bar and (natch) a massive sundeck.
As the brochure says, it’s also “great for afternoon tea.”
Relax. You’re on an island.
