For Just $43, Gift Your Loved One a Lord or Ladyship Title

In Scotland, they'll be almost like royalty

A good way to lord a great gift over your loved one this holiday? Make your gift recipient an actual Lord. Literally.

Nature preservationists Highland Titles currently offer a “Perfect Christmas Gift” that cheekily but legally includes the right to a Scottish title.

Their offerings, starting at $43, feature:

  • A plot of souvenir land in the Highlands of Scotland
  • Permission to use the titles Laird, Lord or Lady of Glencoe and/or Lochaber
  • A personalized certificate, presentation folder, plot card and more

Plus, you have the right to display and wear the Highland Titles Buckler and Tartan (admittedly, it’s not officially a Scottish Coat of Arms).

While it all seems like a bit of a joke — as one customer notes, they’re “already trying to figure out how to build on their 3’ x 3’ piece of land” — the money raised goes toward maintaining two nature/wildlife reserves in the area.

Plus, there are real perks: You can visit your land (via a 4×4) whenever you like, and, if you’re willing to spend more, you’ll get more land (up to 1000 square feet), plus camping access, golf course membership, fishing rights and a lambswool scarf.

Throw in a bottle of Scotch and you might be giving the best themed gift of the year. To learn about Highland Titles, watch the video below.
