The only place that loves Levi’s more than the USA? That’d be Japan, where the distinctive red-tabbed brand has been revered ever since teens fell in love with American rock-and-roll style in the ‘50s.
As part of their Made & Crafted line, Levi’s worked with Japanese style icon Motofumi Kogi, aka POGGYTHEMAN, to design a Fall/Winter capsule collection that channels traditional American workwear, vintage style and detail-oriented craftsmanship.
Heavy on the docket: clean, dark denim, loose fits and items that’ll sharpen up your look whether you’re on the clock or not. The designer’s personal favorite is the McQueen pant, which features no yoke in the back, painted pockets, trouser detailing and tapered legs. They were a riff on a vintage pair of Levi’s from the designer’s own collection.
For our part, we like the Sack Coat and the Work Shirt, which would both pair well with a crisp day in the woods.
