Women’s fashion isn’t all about how much skin you can show anymore. According to Bloomberg, in recent years, modest looks have picked up in popularity. Which has meant an uptick in interest from the Muslim world. Big-name companies such as Burberry are sporting Ramadan collections, and back in February, during London’s Fashion Week, modest fashion took another big turn on the runway.

Now a group of designers, bloggers, and social influencers are triggering a tectonic shift in the fashion business. Twenty-seven-year-old Dina Torkia (a.k.a. Tokio), for example, models trending hijab styles to 1.1 million followers on Instagram. She told Bloomberg that she sees the modest fashion trend as relatable to all women, not just Muslim ones. “I think we need to take Muslim out of it,” she said. “I’m pretty sure every religion promotes modesty.”

According to a Thomson Reuters report, in 2015, Muslim women spent $44 billion on modest fashion. So, clearly, the potential audience for this trend is massive.
