The English brand has been making the style — a suede or calfskin boot that hits the ankle, with two to three eyelets for lacing — since 1950, and is most famous for its “desert” model, a creped sole shoe inspired by the boots worn by British officers in Egypt during World War II. The result is a distinctive and relatively light boot that pairs effortlessly with jeans, chinos and corduroys.
