According to Stephen A. Smith, LeBron James could be bringing his talents to Oakland this summer. Or Boston. Or Philadelphia. Or Los Angeles. Or Houston. Or he could just stay in Cleveland.
In the scenario Smith laid out on ESPN’s First Take on Wednesday, the Warriors would be able to bring James in this summer. But to fit him under the salary cap alongside Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, the Warriors would have to seriously shake up the title-winning roster and get rid of key performers Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
“If you are the Golden State Warriors you want to keep your core four intact and you are willing to spend the money,” Smith said. “But LeBron James is the best player in the world and obviously if you’re Golden State, you’re going to go after stuff.”

Smith went on to say James would also be meeting with the Celtics, 76ers, Lakers and Rockets as well as have a conversation about remaining in Cleveland.
He also floated the idea of James reuniting with Dwayne Wade with the Heat in Miami, but cautioned that remained a long shot.
No matter what happens, it is shaping up to be an intriguing offseason in The Association. Game 3 of the NBA Finals is tonight in Cleveland.
