More than 100 points were scored during a shootout on Monday night that was downright offensive.
In a possible preview of this year’s Super Bowl, Los Angeles and Kansas City played an all-time classic on Monday Night Football that ended with the Rams outlasting the Chiefs 54-51.
The highest-scoring Monday night game of all-time and the third highest-scoring NFL game overall, the MNF nail-biter saw 14 touchdowns (including three by defensive players), 56 first downs and 105 points scored overall.

Both teams led at points in the fourth quarter but the Rams were able to scratch their way to a three-point lead that held up as Mahomes was picked off by Rams Marcus Peters and Lamarcus Joyner late as the Chiefs tried, unsuccessfully, to rally.
“It was a crazy game, crazy game,” said Goff. “It seemed like whoever had the ball at the end was going to win the game. There was times where we felt like we were going to put the knife in and finish them, and there were times where it was the other way around, where we had to claw back into it.”
