Nathan Peterman of the Buffalo Bills has started three regular-season games in the NFL – and has yet to finish one.
Once it was due to injury, but the other two times Peterman failed to finish – including during yesterday’s 47-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens – were because he was downright awful.
During the loss yesterday, Peterman was laughably bad and has a passer rating of 0.0 when he headed to the bench with the Bills trailing by 40 points.

Inexplicably, Buffalo coach Sean McDermott wouldn’t commit to putting Peterman – who threw five interceptions during a start last year – back on the bench for Buffalo’s second game.
I honestly would not put it past the #Bills to have Nathan Peterman be the starting QB Week Two at home against the LA Chargers. And this is why (See the full 1-on-1 with McDermott on @WKBW at 11PM): pic.twitter.com/qqZRW1N9xg

Rookie Josh Allen replaced Peterman and completed six of his 15 passes for 74 yards. While not great, those numbers were far better than Peterman’s (five of 18 passes for 24 yards and two interceptions).
Sadly for Buffalo, Peterman and Allen are their only options as the team traded backup A.J. McCarron and let last year’s starter Tyrod Taylor leave in free agency.
Note to the Bills: Colin Kaepernick is still available.
