A Boston team is once again involved in a videotaping scandal – but this time they are the victims.

After being dispatched by the Astros in the first round of the playoffs, the Cleveland Indians apparently warned the Boston Red Sox that Houston might attempt to steal signs or information from their dugout.

After being alerted by the Sox, Major League Baseball is now looking into whether an Astros employee was videotaping Boston’s dugout during Houston’s 7-2 win in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series.

That employee, identified as  Kyle McLaughlin, was removed by security in Cleveland and Boston after he was caught aiming a cell phone into the team’s respective dugouts from the photographer’s pit.

According to ESPN’s Buster Olney, the Astros deployed McLaughlin to monitor whether the Red Sox were cheating on their side of the field. The incident is expected to lead to a fine for the Astros.

“I’m aware of something going on, but I haven’t been briefed,” Astros manager A.J. Hinch said after Tuesday’s Game 3 loss to the Sox. “I’m worried about the game.”

The Red Sox are leading the series 2-1 with Game 4 set to take place tonight in Houston.
