Following his new team’s 34-10 win over New England in Nashville, Titan running back Dion Lewis ran over his former club off the field.
Bitter about not being re-signed by the Patriots and coach Bill Belichick following last season, Lewis, who had 68 yards of total offense in the win, called the Patriots “cheap” and said the win was “personal.”
“Hell yeah, it’s personal,” Lewis said. “When you go cheap, you get your *ss kicked.”
The 28-year-old also said he shared the best way to beat his old team with his new one.
“I didn’t have to prove anything,” Lewis said. “I know I can play. I just had to let our team know that these guys are beatable. I know those guys. I know that you be physical with them and let ’em have it and they’ll fold.”
In addition to Lewis, the Titans also have former Patriots Malcolm Butler and Logan Ryan on their roster and are also coached by former New England linebacker Mike Vrabel.
Understandably, he was pretty fired up after the win over his old coach.
"Marcus, get your ass in here and break us down." #TitanUp

After the game, Lewis also took to Twitter to troll his former team.

The Patriots and Titans faced each other in the playoffs last year, so it’s possible that will happen again this postseason.
