After unveiling their new logo in March, the Los Angels Rams finally revealed what their new uniforms will look like next season. For the most part, people seem to like them.
Hall-of-Fame running back Eric Dickerson, who had the best years of his career playing for L.A. in the ’80s, does not.
Appearing on L.A. sports radio station AM570 on Wednesday, the 59-year-old called his old team’s new look “soft.”
“This is football. This ain’t nothing to do with surfing,” he said. “This ain’t nothing to do with waves. This is football. This is a man’s sport. And to me, it just looks soft. It don’t look like football. It don’t look hard.”

Dickerson, who said the new horn design on the helmet looks more like it belongs to a goat than a ram, also compared L.A.’s look to their crosstown rivals.
“I just don’t like the stripe around the sleeve. It’s not big enough,” Dickerson said. “It almost looks like a lightning bolt, like the Chargers’ uniform. I don’t like the stripe down the pants. I wish it was bigger.”
While Dickerson’s comments may just sound like a retired player lashing out at a younger generation, they actually do carry some added weight as the former star currently works for the Rams as the vice president of business development.
