A little more than a week after Justin Turner went maskless on the field following Game 6 of the World Series despite being positive for COVID-19, multiple members of the LA Dodgers organization tested positive for the coronavirus.

As of last weekend, five members of the Los Angeles Dodgers organization and one family member tested positive for the virus, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, NBC News reports.

Turner, 35, went maskless while celebrating the World Series win on October 27 but it was announced last week he would not face discipline from MLB for leaving isolation and returning to the field to celebrate with his team.

“We all have made mistakes as we navigated these unprecedented challenges and have tried to learn from those mistakes so they are not repeated,” MLB commissioner Rob Manfred wrote in a statement. “With this in mind, I am closing this matter by applauding Justin for accepting responsibility, apologizing and making a commitment to set a positive example going forward.”

Nasal swabs were conducted for members of the Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays the night after Game 6 and the following morning. Prior to the positive tests from the Dodgers, only a Rays family member tested positive for COVID-19.

LA manager Dave Roberts, a cancer survivor, spoke with KTLA on Monday about the team not doing a better job keeping Turner away from the field.

“This is new to all of us,” Roberts said. “So, I think emotions got the best of all of us. I’m a cancer survivor. I sat next to him. And, so, I don’t apologize for that. The main thing is Justin is healthy and we’re moving past it. We can really celebrate the thing that we won, and that’s a championship with the Dodgers.”
