What the well-dressed man in SF will be wearing this season. This is your Essential Fall Style Guide, Part Three: in which we recommend The Pants.

Until recently, a “Should I Wear Cargo Pants?” flowchart would’ve ended in an emphatic “no” — the exceptions being A) duck hunting or B) military deployment.

But the recent injection of slim fits and unexaggerated pockets — along with fabric and color options galore — have pulled this carry-friendly look from taboo to trendsetting.

These are the four we’re eyeing. Before it comes up though, yes: sandals are still unacceptable.
