Northside Festival: A Practical Guide

Food, booze, music and more

May 14, 2015 9:00 am EDT

Today marks the start of Northside Festival, a bacchanalia of music, film, art and innovation that takes over Williamsburg each year.

Tickets are on sale now, yes they do sell out, and yes you should be grabbing yours now.

What to see while you’re there? Another question entirely. With 400+ bands, more than 150 speakers and film screenings galore, a fella could be forgiven for being a tad overwhelmed by Northside’s slate.

Thus we bring you the InsideHook Guide to Northside Festival, a practical guide to the fest’s don’t-miss attractions.

Q&A with filmmakin’ renegade Casey Neistat? Check. Bass thumpin’ set from Canadian DJ/producer Ryan Hemsworth? Check. New flick about the dawn of Daft Punk? Check.

Oh, and because Northside’s also a great excuse to take advantage of the fact that Williamsburg currently boasts more food and drink options than a Chris Christie expense report, we went ahead and picked a few of our favorites in that department as well.

Hell, there’s even a cozy B&B should you elect to make your Brooklyn stay an overnight one.

Enjoy the guide.
