While spirits bottles are renowned for their design (hello, Guillermo del Toro), beer packaging is usually left for the labels.
Not so here. Starck is a new collab between the French brewery Brasserie d’Olt and famed designer Philippe Starck, and both the bottle and the liquid inside feature a rather distinct artisan flair.
Starck is an unfiltered, unpasteurized blond beer with no additives, coloring or preservatives, utilizing three varieties of hops. It’s presented in a minimalist glass bottle designed and signed by Starck. The brewery describes it as “richly fruity … with a beautiful hopped bitterness … and subtle notes of conifers.”
It’s not such a stretch for Starck, who’s previously designed a number of restaurants and even a beer hall in Tokyo.
You can (try to) order Starck from this French beer site.
