Every Michelin Star Restaurant in America, Mapped

Ready for the tastiest road trip of all time?

It’s not everyday you dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant.

The ratings guide to the best eateries in the world is often reserved, more or less, for special occasions or memorable milestones.

But here’s a proposition: If you were to drive to every Michelin Star restaurant in the country, isn’t every stop a memorable milestone — in the literal sense? Orbitz thinks so. The travel site just published a map that plots the fastest route between all of America’s Michelin-starred restaurants, and needless to say, it’s a doozy.

At first look, you’ll notice just how concentrated America’s Michelin stars actually are — Michelin currently only publishes its annual dining guide in four U.S. cities. So the road trip starts out in San Francisco before moving on to Chicago then Washington D.C.  — which received its first Michelin guide this year — before finally ending in New York, the most decorated state at 77 stars spread across 68 restaurants.

All in, you’re looking at 3,426 miles of deliciousness.

Head on over to Orbitz to check out the itinerary in full.
