The Bourbon Bagel Bacon Burger: Now a Terrifying, Delicious Thing

Somewhere, Guy Fieri is drooling all over himself

For years, down-and-out men have tried to fill the proverbial holes in their hearts with burgers, bacon and bourbon.

Now, a man from Down Under is using those same ingredients to fill the hole in his bagel.

Created by chef Adam Spencer of Chicken and Sons in Sydney, the Bourbon Burgel is a sesame seed bagel cheeseburger that comes with a whiskey-soaked bacon-topped shot of Bulleit Bourbon snuggled in the middle of the gooey hole in its top bun.

In addition to American cheese, the Burgel’s Angus beef patty is topped off with pickles, jalapeños, special sauce, barbecue sauce and extra bourbon-glazed bacon. The meal also comes with beer-battered fries on the side.

But don’t worry: to ensure everyone made it out of Chicken and Sons without incident, Spencer limited customers to just two when the $16.50 combos went on sale last weekend.

Judging by the look of some other meals C&S dishes up, it’s clear they value eating responsibly.
