Havasupai Falls is the stuff backcountry dreams are made of.

Turquoise water. Seventy-two degree swimming holes. Star-flecked night skies.

But getting there (it’s 11 miles each way), securing a campsite and pitching a tent? Hard for even the most seasoned backpacker.

Making the ordeal hassle-free: Shoestring Adventures, a service that takes small groups into the wild, just now booking spots for their upcoming Havasupai Falls trip from October 22nd to 25th.

There are only 10 available; don’t dally.

Shoestring is ideal for newbies, as founder Alyx Schwarz gives attendees a thorough introduction into a region’s history and ecology.

And for more seasoned campers, Shoestring hosts longer hikes and mini-seminars on things like nature photography — this trip includes a lesson from L.A. shutterbug Cameron Gardner.

Trips are typically three days and two nights (given Havasupai’s remote location, it’s a day longer) and run almost quarterly. Just sign up for their newsletter to stay in the loop.

It’s personally guided by Schwarz, who secures sites seven months in advance to ensure the best spots. She also handles dinner; campers bring their lunches and breakfasts.

Havasupai meals will be provided by Fireside Provisions, a pack-to-plate outfit that sends you partially prepped meals ahead of backcountry sojourns.

No gear? Schwarz also works with Get Outfitted, an online concern that’ll have you set up like Edmund Hillary and makes it easy-peasy to send the goods back after your trip.

Stop reading; reserve now.
