After a not-so-great launch, Bose ditched their initial Sleepbuds product and came out with a sequel last year that was far, far superior — as our review at the time noted, “My sleep patterns have dramatically improved. I’ve fallen asleep within minutes, only been woken up by circumstances unrelated to noise and faced the morning very refreshed.”

Our one complaint? The price. For $250, those ‘buds only offered you atmospheric sleep noises and nothing else … and that’s about the same cost as a pair of high-end headphones. Possibly hard to justify, even if a good night’s rest is worth it.

If that launch price made you hesitant, today might be your day to act; Amazon is hosting a quick sale on all things Bose, including a one-day deal on the Sleepbuds II at $50 off.

They’re really easy to use: You just download the Bose Sleep app, connect the oval charging case to a power source and then use the app to connect to the Sleepbuds. From there, you can pick from a number of noise-masking sounds (like waves crashing, campfire, shower, etc.), “naturescapes” (country road, marina, etc.) or tranquilities (not melodic but tonal environments akin to what you’d hear at a spa). The buds themselves are comfy and surprisingly unobtrusive.

Looking for more traditional audio gear? There are other Bose earbuds and headphones on sale at up to 29% off, including the excellent QuietComfort 35 II wireless noise-cancelling headphones, our go-to for planes.
