Movie-goers have their Spidey-senses tingling Tuesday morning after Sony dropped the new trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming.
And the two-minute, 30-second trailer shows that Tom Holland fits the suit (a more technologically advanced one than fans are used to from previous films) previously worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
The film is the result of a blockbuster deal with Marvel in which Sony maintains rights to standalone Spider-Man movies, but benefits from debuting him in its rival studio’s shared cinematic universe. That also means, as evident from the trailer, that the Wall Crawler can team-up with Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man to fight villains and trade one-liners.
And what a cool villain it is taking flight in the upcoming superhero flick—Michael Keaton’s deadly Vulture, who gets a huge tech upgrade over the campy old, bald flyer from the comic books.
Spider-Man: Homecoming, also starring Marisa Tomei, opens in theaters on July 7.
