When the going gets weird, the weird turn to weird pro sports …

Beginning at midnight on Sunday, ESPN will attempt to fill the void that exists in the world of sports with 24 hours of programming inspired by 2004’s Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Airing on ESPN2, ESPN8: The Ocho’s broadcast will provide viewers with “a full 24 hours of seldom-seen sports” programming, according to ESPN.

Sunday will be the fourth time ESPN has aired its phony Dodgeball-inspired network since it first gave it a shot in 2017. In addition to the Dodgeball Continental Cup between the USA and Canada, The Ocho’s 24-hour takeover will feature the 2006 Krystal World Hamburger Eating Championship, the 2019 Stupid Robot Fighting League and the 2019 Jelle’s Marble Run.

For those who are looking for something else to watch, ESPN is going all-in on Tom Brady and running a marathon of his best games on Sunday on their primary network starting at noon.
