When the final day of the rescheduled Masters takes place in the midst of the NFL season on November 15, CBS is hoping sports fans will tune in for golf and then stick around for football.

In order to avoid a conflict with live NFL games, the highest-rated programming in all of televised entertainment, CBS is planning to begin its Masters coverage at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning in the hopes of having the broadcast wrapped up before its scheduled telecast of the Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Broncos at 4:05 p.m. That means the coverage of the final round coverage will start three hours earlier than the first three rounds, according to Front Office Sports.

The day before, ESPN will televise College GameDay live from Augusta National.

“When exploring ways to showcase a fall Masters, we were drawn to the concept of hosting College GameDay at Augusta National to introduce the Tournament to a new audience and provide even more anticipation and excitement to the event,” Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley said in a statement. “We appreciate the collaboration with ESPN, our longtime broadcast partner, for this first-of-its-kind opportunity.”

Bryson DeChambeau is the favorite to win at the annual tournament, which is not being played in April for just the second time (the first edition of the Masters was played in March), followed by Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson.

Tee times will be announced at a later date, but the 84th Masters will begin on Thursday, November 12, with coverage starting on ESPN.
