The lego-based prosthetic arms took years for David Aguilar to put together.

Brick by brick, David Aguilar, built himself a prosthetic arm made out of Legos.

The Universitat Internacional de Catalunya in Spain engineering student is just 19 years old, but wasn’t playing around with the toy blocks.

Aguilar, whose YouTube name is Hand Solo, in tribute to the Star Wars character, spent years perfecting the prosthetic arms as substitute to more expensive, professionally crafted ones.

The teen prosthetic maker names his lego arms MK-I, MK-II, MK-III, and so on as tribute to Stark’s Iron Man suits named Mark-1 and Mark-2.

Aguilar made his prosthetic using various Lego sets including jets and construction vehicles. Batteries help power and operate the arm, Popular Mechanics reports.

The price of new prostheses can run anywhere from $5,000 to $50,000 and that doesn’t include upkeep on the artificial limb.

The teen wants to bring his brick-made arms to anyone who needs one but can’t afford it: “I would try to give them a prosthetic,” he told Reuters, “even if it’s for free, to make them feel like a normal person, because what is normal, right?”
