A massive study of over half a million kids has reportedly confirmed that autism is not caused by vaccines.
Researchers in Denmark analyzed 657,461 kids born in the country between 1999 and 2010 who received regular checkups. Of the kids studied, 6,517 were diagnosed with autism notes the study reported about in Futurism.
The scientists then compared children vaccinated with the MMR vaccine to those who were not vaccinated.
“The study strongly supports that MMR vaccination does not increase the risk for autism, does not trigger autism in susceptible children, and is not associated with clustering of autism cases after vaccination.”
Researchers involved still don’t think it will change the minds of skeptics “The question to my mind is should we continue to do more studies on this topic or is the uncertainty that is needed for having a researchable question gone at this point,” researcher Saad B. Omer told The Washington Post. “This new study isn’t going to change anyone’s mind.”
