After going dark for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Broadway is back, and the great reopening is made all the more triumphant by the news that Bruce Springsteen will be returning to the Great White Way this summer.

The Boss is returning for a limited 31-show run of his massively popular one-man show Springsteen on Broadway at Jujamcyn’s St. James Theatre from June 26 through September 4. Proceeds from the opening night in June will go to an assortment of New York and New Jersey-based charities.

“I loved doing Springsteen on Broadway and I’m thrilled to have been asked to reprise the show as part of the reopening of Broadway,” Springsteen said in statement.

The original run of Springsteen on Broadway consisted of a whopping 236 shows between October 2017 and December 2018, and a taped version of the show premiered on Netflix on Dec. 16, 2018 after the Broadway show closed. Springsteen was honored with a Special Tony Award for his work on the show, and the Springsteen on Broadway Netflix special was nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) category in 2019.
