The Grinch may be the latest holiday character to achieve seasonal sex symbol status, but it seems Mrs. Claus stole the horny holiday spotlight this year. According to Pornhub data, the bride of Santa was in high demand this year, with searches for porn starring Mrs. Claus skyrocketing to an increase of 400 percent leading up to the holiday season.
Christmas porn is a holiday tradition as old as the internet, with Pornhub reporting annual increases in searches for a wide variety of holiday-themed porn. While simply “Christmas” is usually the most popular search, plenty of other holiday porn enthusiasts get a lot more creative, with Pornhub seeing spikes in everything from “Santa anal” to “Christmas creampie.” (It’s like a seasonal addendum to Rule 34: Every genre of porn has a holiday special.)
Other top holiday searches this year included “Elf”, “xxxmas”, “Christmas orgy” and “elf hentai.” (Hentai, in general, was named Pornhub’s top “defining” term of 2021 in the platform’s annual Year in Review report, representing the number one search term worldwide, and related searches for “Christmas hentai” have been included among Pornhub’s most poplar holiday search terms since at least 2015.)
Mrs. Claus’s spike in popularity this year represents a return to the top following a decline in search traffic for Santa’s wife after her peak in 2018. (Mrs. Claus even beat her own husband this year, with searches for Santa coming in second at a traffic increase of 374 percent.)
While Pornhub did not provide any insight into why Mrs. Claus porn might be on the rise — and while I, myself, lack any personal knowledge of what exactly Mrs. Claus porn entails — we might assume that Mrs. Claus represents an intersection of a number of other popular porn genres and search terms. “MILF,” for example, regularly ranks among the most popular searches across gender, age and location. It was the third most popular search in the US this year, and the fourth most popular worldwide, according to Pornhub’s Year in Review report. Whether or not you subscribe to a version of Santa mythology in which Mr. and Mrs. Claus have reproduced, she has definitely earned the title of Mother Christmas, which seems like MILF qualification to me.
“Mature” is another popular term, ranking among the top categories viewed this year in the UK, France and Italy, and enjoying a spike in popularity elsewhere as well. “Mature” porn was also the category viewed for the longest duration (perhaps because it is particularly popular among more mature viewers themselves, who seem to have longer attention spans, per the report). Like her husband, Mrs. Claus is typically represented as old yet immortal, the perfect white-haired MILF for your holiday fantasies.
Cartoon porn was also big this year among certain demographics, and while Mrs. Claus is not always depicted in cartoon form, there’s certainly some overlap there as well.
